The 1/10th of a Second That Matters: Why an Amateur Profile Picture Is Hurting Your Career
In the fast-paced, digital-first landscape of 2026, the first time a potential client, investor, or recruiter meets you is rarely in person. It's on LinkedIn. It’s on your 'About Us' page. It’s in the footer of an email.
Key Takeaways:
Convenience: We bring a full professional studio to your Leicester office.
First Impressions: You have 1/10th of a second to make a digital impression.
Consistency: Ensure your whole leadership team has a unified, high-end look.
And according to psychologists, it takes less than one-tenth of a second for someone to form a lasting opinion about your trustworthiness, competence, and likeability based solely on that photo.
That selfie in the car with the distracting background isn’t just unprofessional; it’s an invisible barrier to new opportunities.
As a specialist commercial photographer in Leicester, I’ve watched how a truly great professional portrait can open doors. Here is why investing in your visual brand—specifically with my signature mobile studio experience—is the smartest career move you’ll make this year.
1. You Control the Narrative
An amateur portrait screams, "I’ll get to this when I have time," or worse, "I don’t invest in myself."
A professional portrait tells a completely different story. It shows you are serious, polished, and attentive to detail. By using a professional commercial photographer, you are ensuring that your image aligns perfectly with the brand story you are telling—whether that’s one of authority, innovation, or accessibility.
I don’t just "take photos." I collaborate with you on lighting, angle, and expression to ensure your photograph projects the exact mix of professionalism and approachable warmth required for your industry.
2. Your Visual Assets are Your Business Currency
Think about the content you generate in a week. Your face is probably attached to all of it. A professional headshot isn't just a static portrait; it’s a high-value asset that must be used across your entire visual ecosystem:
• Social Proof: LinkedIn profiles with professional photos get 14 times more views.
• Media Kits: For speaker profiles at conferences or guest blog contributions.
• Trust Signals: A cohesive set of headshots on your 'Meet the Team' page instantly increases website conversion rates and fosters client trust.
3. The Ultimate Advantage: The Mobile Studio Comes to You
I know the biggest reason professionals delay getting a new headshot: Time.
The friction of leaving your office, traveling to a studio, and finding parking can take half your day. And when you are a business owner or busy professional, time is your scarcest resource.
This is the central reason I developed my full-service Mobile Photography Studio
Professional corporate headshot of a female executive in Leicester, taken by Pete Martin Photography using a mobile studio.
How the Pete Martin Mobile Studio Experience Works:
• We Remove the Friction: I bring the professional studio—backdrops, high-end professional lighting, and high-resolution camera gear—directly to your location, whether that's your Leicester city center office or a surrounding Midlands business park.
• Maximize Efficiency: We can photograph you, or your entire leadership team, during a lunch hour without disrupting the workflow. This is seamless business photography.
• The Comfort of Your Own Space: For many people, a photo studio is an intimidating environment. Being in your own space, with familiar surroundings, helps you relax, which is immediately visible in the final portrait. A comfortable subject makes for a powerful picture.
Stop Letting the Invisible Barrier Stand in Your Way
Your visual brand is too critical to your career trajectory to be an afterthought. In a world of digital introductions, that 1/10th of a second is everything.
I am focused on delivering headshots that capture not just what you look like, but who you are as a professional. Let’s create visual assets that work as hard as you do.

Q: How long does a professional headshot session take?
A: Individual sessions take about 20 minutes, allowing us to capture multiple angles without disrupting your work day.

Professional LinkedIn Headshots in Leicester, Northampton & the East Midlands
Professional LinkedIn headshot session in Leicester and Northampton
A professional LinkedIn headshot is a high-quality photo that presents you as confident, approachable and credible. Most professionals only need one or two strong images for LinkedIn, websites and speaking profiles, making it a simple but powerful investment in your personal brand.
If you’re anything like most of the people I photograph, you probably don’t wake up thinking, “Today’s the day I sort my headshot.”
It’s usually triggered by something.
A new job.
A promotion.
Launching a business.
Or finally realising your LinkedIn photo… doesn’t really represent you anymore.
And here’s the good news — you don’t need a full-day shoot or dozens of images.
Sometimes, one or two great headshots is all you need.
Why a Professional LinkedIn Headshot Matters
Whether you’re in Leicester, Northampton, Nottingham or anywhere across the East Midlands, your LinkedIn profile is often your first impression.
Before someone emails you.
Before they meet you.
Before they decide to work with you.
They’ve already seen your photo.
A strong, professional headshot instantly communicates:
Confidence
Approachability
Credibility
Attention to detail
And in a competitive market, that really matters.
Who Is This Type of Headshot Session For?
Not everyone needs a big corporate shoot — and that’s exactly why I offer simple, focused sessions for individuals.
These are ideal if you are:
Starting a new job and want to make the right impression
Launching a business or personal brand
Updating an outdated LinkedIn profile photo
A freelancer or consultant building visibility
Returning to work after a break
Speaking at events or networking more regularly
In short — anyone who needs to look like the best version of themselves online.
What You Actually Need (Spoiler: It’s Not 20 Photos)
A common misconception is that you need loads of images.
In reality, most people use:
One main LinkedIn profile photo
One secondary image for websites, speaker bios or press
That’s it.
So instead of overwhelming you with choice, my sessions are designed to deliver:
A relaxed, efficient experience
Direction so you feel comfortable in front of the camera
A small number of high-quality, versatile images
Quality over quantity. Every time.
What Makes a Great LinkedIn Headshot?
It’s not just about standing in front of a camera and smiling.
The best headshots are:
Natural, not forced
Professional but still “you”
Clean and distraction-free
Well-lit and flattering
Confident without looking stiff
Most importantly — you look approachable and trustworthy.
(That’s where experience really makes the difference.)
Natural, confident headshots designed for LinkedIn and personal branding

A Quick, Relaxed Experience (No Awkward Photoshoots)
One thing I hear all the time:
“I hate having my photo taken.”
You’re not alone.
That’s why my approach is simple:
No pressure
No overcomplicated setups
Just clear guidance and a relaxed environment
Most sessions are quick, efficient, and even… enjoyable (yes, really).
Location Options Across Leicester, Northampton & Beyond
I regularly photograph professionals across:
Leicester
Northampton
Nottingham
Coventry
The wider East Midlands
Sessions can take place:
At your workplace
On location
Or with a clean, neutral background setup
Perfect for LinkedIn and business use.
Invest in One Image That Works Hard for You
Think about how many people will see your LinkedIn profile over the next year.
Now imagine they’re all seeing:
A cropped holiday photo
A blurry selfie
Or a headshot from 10 years ago
Upgrading your image is one of the simplest ways to:
Increase profile views
Build trust faster
Position yourself professionally
Win better opportunities
And it only takes one or two strong images to do it.
Ready to Update Your Headshot?

Corporate Headshots in Coventry: A Simple Way to Update Your Company Image in 2026
Professional corporate headshot for a Coventry-based business team member
If you’re a marketing manager or business owner in Coventry, chances are your team photos have been on the to-do list for a while.
Whether it’s a website refresh, new starters joining the business, or simply wanting a more consistent look across LinkedIn, professional corporate headshots are often one of the quickest ways to improve how your company is presented online.
The good news is — it doesn’t have to be a big disruption to your working day.
Why Coventry Businesses Are Updating Their Headshots
Across Coventry and the wider Warwickshire area, more companies are investing in professional headshots as part of their wider marketing activity.
Common reasons include:
A new or redesigned company website
Growth in team size
Rebranding or updated visual identity
Improving LinkedIn profiles across the team
Creating a more consistent, professional image
For professional services in particular — law firms, accountants and consultants — your team photos often form a first impression before a conversation even starts.
The Shift Towards On-Location Headshots
One of the biggest changes in recent years is the move away from studio-only photography.
Most Coventry businesses now prefer on-location headshots, where the photography setup is brought directly to the office.
This approach means:
No travel time for your team
A consistent setup for everyone
Quick, efficient sessions (around 3–5 minutes per person)
Minimal disruption to the working day
In many cases, a full team can be photographed in just a couple of hours.
Popular Business Areas in Coventry for Headshots
I regularly work with businesses across Coventry and nearby areas, including:
Coventry city centre
Binley Business Park
Ansty Park
Warwick University Science Park
Warwick and Leamington Spa
Rugby and surrounding Warwickshire towns
These locations are home to a wide range of professional services, corporate offices and growing businesses — all of which benefit from having consistent, high-quality team photography.
What Makes a Good Corporate Headshot?
A strong corporate headshot should feel:
Natural and relaxed
Consistent across the whole team
Aligned with your brand
Professional without feeling overly formal
One of the most common concerns I hear is:
“Our team aren’t comfortable in front of the camera.”
That’s completely normal — and why a relaxed, efficient approach makes such a difference.
Planning a Headshot Session (Without the Stress)
For marketing managers, the biggest challenge is usually logistics.
The simplest way to organise a session is:
Choose a suitable space (meeting room or quiet office area)
Schedule people in short time slots
Keep things moving quickly
With the right setup, the process is straightforward — and far less disruptive than most teams expect.

How to Plan a Corporate Headshot Day for Your Team | Leicester & East Midlands
Many companies organise a corporate headshot day so their LinkedIn headshots for teams look consistent across the organisation.
How to Plan a Corporate Headshot Day for Your Team
A Simple Guide for Marketing Managers in Leicester & the East Midlands
For many professional service firms, organising team headshots can feel like one of those jobs that sits on the marketing to-do list for months.
Websites need updating, LinkedIn profiles look inconsistent, and new team members have joined — but coordinating everyone for photography can seem like a challenge.
The good news is that with the right structure, a corporate headshot day can be quick, efficient and surprisingly easy to organise.
Across Leicester, Leicestershire and the East Midlands, many law firms, accountants and financial advisers now arrange structured headshot days so their whole team can be photographed in one session with minimal disruption to the working day.
Here’s how it works.
Why Companies Organise Corporate Headshot Days
A corporate headshot day allows a business to photograph multiple team members in a consistent style during a single visit.
Marketing teams often arrange these sessions when:
launching a new website
updating LinkedIn profiles across the company
introducing new team members
refreshing outdated staff photos
preparing PR or marketing materials
For professional service firms in particular, strong headshots help create a professional, approachable first impression for potential clients.
When visitors land on your website, they want to see the people behind the business.
What Happens During a Corporate Headshot Day
Corporate headshots photographed for a professional services firm in Leicester.
A typical headshot day involves setting up a portable studio inside your office.
This might be in a meeting room, open office area, or reception space depending on the layout of the workplace.
The aim is to create a consistent look across the entire team, with lighting and background carefully controlled.
Staff are then photographed one at a time in short, relaxed sessions.
For many people, having their photo taken isn’t something they do often, so the key is keeping things simple, quick and comfortable.
Most people are surprised at how fast the process can be.
How Long Do Corporate Headshots Take?
One of the biggest concerns companies have is disruption to the working day.
In reality, headshot sessions are usually very quick.
Typically:
around 5–10 minutes per person
staff can be scheduled throughout the morning or afternoon
larger teams can be photographed in half a day or a full day
Because everything is set up in advance, people simply step away from their desk for a few minutes and return to work straight afterwards.
For marketing managers, this makes organising photography much easier.
What Should Staff Wear for Professional Headshots?
Clothing can make a big difference to how professional headshots look on a website or LinkedIn profile.
Most companies encourage staff to dress as they normally would for meeting clients.
A few simple guidelines often work well:
solid colours tend to photograph best
avoid very busy patterns or logos
bring a jacket or alternative option if possible
aim for a smart, professional appearance
The goal is to create photographs that feel natural and authentic to the business, rather than overly staged.
Where Do Corporate Headshot Sessions Take Place?
Most corporate headshot days take place at the company’s office.
This makes it easy for the whole team to take part and ensures the process runs smoothly.
Across Leicester and the wider East Midlands, many professional service firms choose to photograph staff on-site so the images reflect the real working environment of the business.
It also allows additional website content photography to be captured at the same time, such as:
team collaboration images
office working environments
marketing and website imagery
This helps marketing teams build a useful library of images they can use across their website, LinkedIn and marketing materials.
The Benefits of a Structured Headshot Day
Organising a corporate headshot day offers several advantages for professional service firms.
Firstly, it creates consistency across the company website and LinkedIn profiles, which helps reinforce the firm’s brand.
Secondly, it allows photography to be completed quickly and efficiently, with minimal interruption to staff.
Finally, it ensures every team member has a professional, high-quality portrait that represents the business well.
For firms that rely on reputation and trust, this can make a real difference in how the business is perceived online.

Web Content Photography for Professional Service Firms | Leicester & East Midlands
Professional web content photography helps law firms, accountants and financial advisers create authentic images for their websites and marketing. Discover why professional service firms across Leicestershire and the East Midlands are investing in structured content photography shoots.
Why Professional Service Firms in the East Midlands Are Investing in Web Content Photography
If your website is the first place potential clients meet your business, the quality of your photography matters more than ever.
Across Leicestershire and the East Midlands, professional service firms — from law firms and accountants to financial advisers and consultants — are increasingly investing in web content photography shoots. These sessions create a library of professional images designed specifically for websites, LinkedIn profiles, marketing materials and PR.
The result? A website that feels modern, trustworthy and genuinely reflective of your team.
What Is a Web Content Photography Shoot?
A web content shoot is a planned photography session designed to create a range of images for your website and marketing channels.
Rather than just photographing individual headshots, a web content shoot typically includes:
Professional headshots for your team
Natural working images of people collaborating
Environmental portraits in your office
Detail images of your workspace
Images suitable for website banners and LinkedIn posts
Marketing and PR photography
For professional service firms, these images help communicate credibility, approachability and professionalism.
Why Professional Services Firms Need More Than Just Headshots
Many firms initially arrange photography because they need new staff headshots. But marketing teams quickly realise that modern websites require far more visual content.
A well-planned content shoot can produce images that work across:
Website service pages
“About us” sections
LinkedIn company pages
Recruitment campaigns
Thought leadership articles
Press releases and media coverage
Instead of relying on generic stock photography, firms can showcase their real team, real office and real culture.
This helps build trust with potential clients before they even make contact.
Planning a Successful Web Content Shoot
The most successful web content shoots start with clear planning and a structured approach.
Before the session, it’s helpful to consider:
Which website pages need images
Whether new headshots are required
Key team members or departments to feature
Areas of the office that photograph well
The overall tone of the brand (formal, modern, approachable)
For many professional service firms in the East Midlands, the goal is to create images that feel professional but natural — avoiding overly staged corporate photography.
Keeping the Photography Efficient
One concern many firms have is disruption to the working day.
A structured shoot can ensure photography is completed quickly and efficiently, allowing staff to step away from their desks for only a few minutes.
Typically this involves:
Pre-planned shooting locations
A simple, consistent lighting setup
A clear schedule for team members
Quick direction so people feel comfortable in front of the camera
When done well, even large teams can be photographed in a single session.
The Long-Term Value of a Content Image Library
One of the biggest advantages of a web content shoot is the creation of a long-term image library.
Rather than organising new photography every time marketing needs an image, firms have a collection of professional visuals ready to use for:
Website updates
Blog posts
LinkedIn marketing
Event announcements
Recruitment campaigns
For marketing managers, this can save significant time and make it much easier to keep the website and social media channels looking fresh.
Web Content Photography in Leicestershire and the East Midlands
Professional service firms across Leicester, Leicestershire and the East Midlands are increasingly recognising the importance of strong visual content.
In a competitive market, high-quality photography helps firms:
Look more credible online
Build trust with potential clients
Present a consistent brand across platforms
Stand out from competitors using stock imagery
For firms that regularly update their website or produce thought-leadership content, a professional web content shoot can quickly become an essential part of their marketing strategy.

Leicester Corporate Photography for Welford Solicitors – Completing the Team
Last Friday I returned to Welford Solicitors in Leicester to complete the final stage of their professional headshot and branding photography for their new website.
Back in December, I photographed the majority of the team as part of their website refresh — creating clean, consistent corporate headshots and brand imagery designed specifically for a modern Leicester law firm. However, five members of staff were unavailable at the time, so this follow-up session ensured the entire team is now represented professionally and consistently across the new site.
Professional Headshots for Leicester Law Firms
For solicitors and legal professionals in Leicester, first impressions matter. Long before a client makes contact, they’ve usually visited your website. Strong, confident headshots immediately build trust.
For this shoot, consistency was key. Because the original photography session took place in December, it was important to:
Match lighting precisely
Replicate framing and composition
Maintain the same background and tone
Ensure expressions felt natural and approachable
This means visitors to the new Welford Solicitors website will see one cohesive, professional team — not images that look months apart.
Why Consistency in Corporate Photography Matters
When Leicester businesses invest in a new website, branding photography isn’t just about “nice photos.” It’s about visual alignment.
Whether you’re a solicitor, accountant, consultant or corporate team, consistent headshots:
Reinforce brand identity
Increase credibility
Help clients feel confident before they make contact
Elevate the overall quality of your website
For growing firms, this is particularly important. Teams evolve, new staff join, and maintaining the same photographic style ensures your brand remains polished and professional.
Leicester Business Photography That Grows With You
One of the benefits of working with a local Leicester corporate photographer is continuity. When new team members join, or when you refresh your website, your visual identity stays consistent.
This short follow-up session with Welford Solicitors is a great example of how businesses can maintain a strong brand presence without needing to start from scratch every time.
With the new website now live, Welford Solicitors have a complete and consistent set of professional headshots that reflect the strength of their team and brand. You can view the finished result on the Welford Solicitors website, where the full team is now presented with clarity and confidence.
What Welford Solicitors Said
“Thank you both for coming in today and making the whole experience so enjoyable for the team. We look forward to seeing some of the pictures soon.”

How to Plan Photography for a Corporate Awards Night in Leicester
Corporate Awards Night Photography in Leicester: How to Plan It Properly
Structured photography planning for corporate awards ceremonies, business recognition events and formal gala evenings across the Midlands.
Planning photography for a corporate awards night in Leicester requires more than booking a photographer. From stage lighting and sponsor branding to fast image turnaround for press coverage, structured planning ensures your event is captured professionally and supports your marketing long after the evening ends.
How to Plan Photography for a Corporate Awards Night
Corporate awards evenings are high-profile events. They celebrate achievement, attract senior leadership and often include sponsors, partners and media.
Good photography doesn’t happen by chance — it requires preparation.
Here’s how to ensure your awards ceremony photography runs smoothly.
1. Confirm the Run of Show
Before the event, your photographer should have:
A copy of the event schedule
Speaker timings
Award categories
Stage layout details
Sponsor backdrop placement
Knowing the structure of the evening allows key moments to be anticipated — not reacted to.
2. Review Stage Lighting in Advance
Awards nights often involve mixed lighting:
Spotlights
LED screens
Stage wash lighting
Low ambient dinner lighting
Poor lighting can create harsh shadows or colour imbalance.
Where possible, a brief venue check or lighting conversation beforehand helps ensure clean, professional stage photography.
3. Plan for Sponsor Visibility
Sponsors expect visibility.
Ensure:
Sponsor logos are positioned clearly on stage
Backdrops are well lit
Award handovers face the correct direction for photographs
These details matter for press releases and social media posts.
4. Allocate Time for Group Photos
Group photographs can slow down an awards ceremony if not structured properly.
To avoid disruption:
Confirm group photo locations in advance
Nominate someone to organise winners
Keep group sizes manageable
Clear direction keeps the evening flowing while still delivering strong imagery.
5. Consider On-Site Headshots
Awards nights are one of the few occasions when:
Senior leadership
Sponsors
Award winners
Are all in one place, professionally dressed.
A discreet headshot setup during reception drinks can add significant value to your event coverage.
6. Arrange for Fast Image Turnaround
Many organisations require:
Overnight press releases
LinkedIn announcements
Social media posts
Sponsor acknowledgements
Agree in advance which images need rapid delivery.
A structured workflow ensures selected images are supplied quickly while the full gallery is professionally edited afterwards.
7. Think Beyond the Stage
While award presentations are central, the atmosphere matters too.
Capture:
Networking moments
Audience reactions
Table interactions
Venue details
These images help promote future events and demonstrate scale and professionalism.
Awards Night Photography as a Marketing Asset
Corporate awards ceremony photography should support:
Future sponsorship proposals
Website updates
Recruitment campaigns
Annual reports
Next year’s event promotion
When planned properly, the photography from one evening can be used for months.
Planning an Awards Night in Leicester or the Midlands?
If you are organising a corporate awards ceremony or business recognition event, structured photography ensures your event is documented professionally and efficiently.
From stage presentations to networking receptions, careful planning allows the evening to run smoothly while delivering strong marketing assets.
If you’re preparing for an upcoming awards night in Leicester or the Midlands, I’d be happy to discuss how I can support your event.

Awards Ceremony Photography in Leicester | Corporate Event Coverage
Awards Ceremony Photography in Leicester | Corporate Event Coverage
Corporate awards ceremony photography in Leicester requires precision, discretion and experience. From stage presentations to networking receptions, professional event coverage ensures your awards evening is documented in a way that reflects the credibility and reputation of your organisation.
Awards evenings are more than events. They are a public celebration of achievement, leadership and reputation.
Photographing the East Midlands Chamber Enterprising Women Awards has reinforced something I see repeatedly with corporate awards ceremonies: the photography matters long after the evening itself.
For organisations across Leicester and the Midlands, awards imagery becomes a long-term marketing asset.
Why Awards Photography Requires a Structured Approach
An awards ceremony is fast-paced, formal and high-pressure. Moments happen quickly:
Winners announced
Handshakes on stage
Sponsor recognition
Group celebrations
Candid networking moments
Capturing these moments requires anticipation and positioning — not just reaction.
Professional awards photography involves:
Coordinated timing with event hosts
Clear stage lighting management
Consistent framing for sponsor backdrops
Efficient group photography flow
Discreet coverage during dinner service
The aim is to document the evening without disrupting it.
Stage Photography: Precision Matters
Stage photography is often the most visible output from an awards event.
Images must be:
Sharp and well-lit
Properly exposed under mixed lighting
Framed to include branding and sponsors
Consistent across multiple winners
These images are typically used for:
Press releases
Social media
Website updates
Internal communications
LinkedIn announcements
A poorly timed or poorly lit stage image can weaken what should be a proud, polished moment.
Awards Ceremony Photography for Corporate Organisations
Corporate awards evenings are often attended by senior leadership teams, sponsors and industry partners. Professional photography ensures these moments are captured with consistency and clarity, supporting press coverage, LinkedIn announcements and future event promotion.
Beyond the Stage: The Full Story
While award presentations are key, the atmosphere is equally important.
Networking, audience engagement and table reactions create context and energy. These images help communicate:
Scale of the event
Professionalism
Community engagement
Brand presence
For events like the Enterprising Women Awards, this broader storytelling reinforces the reputation of both the organisers and the nominees.
Fast Turnaround for Marketing Teams
For many corporate events, selected images are required quickly for:
Overnight press releases
Social media posts
Sponsor acknowledgements
A structured workflow ensures that key images can be delivered promptly while the full gallery is professionally edited and supplied afterwards.
Awards Photography as a Long-Term Asset
The strongest awards imagery doesn’t just document the evening — it supports marketing activity throughout the year.
High-quality photographs can be repurposed for:
Next year’s event promotion
Sponsorship proposals
Recruitment campaigns
Annual reports
For organisations across the Midlands, investing in professional awards photography ensures that the evening’s recognition translates into lasting visibility.

How Corporate Photography Impacts Recruitment and Client Trust
How Corporate Photography Impacts Recruitment and Client Trust
In professional services, perception matters.
For law firms, accountants, consultants and advisory businesses, clients are not simply buying a service — they are placing trust in people. The way your organisation presents itself visually plays a significant role in shaping that trust before a conversation even begins.
Corporate photography is no longer a cosmetic upgrade. It is a strategic asset that supports recruitment, marketing and long-term brand positioning.
First Impressions Happen Before Contact
For many prospective clients, your website and LinkedIn presence are the first points of interaction.
Outdated headshots, inconsistent team imagery or generic stock photography can unintentionally weaken perception. In contrast, consistent, professional photography communicates:
Credibility
Stability
Attention to detail
Confidence
For professional services firms in Leicester and across the Midlands, this visual consistency reinforces the reputation you have worked hard to build.
Recruitment Is Increasingly Brand-Led
Attracting high-calibre professionals requires more than a job description.
Potential recruits will research your firm before applying. They want to see:
Leadership presence
Workplace culture
Professional standards
Team cohesion
Workplace and brand photography allow prospective employees to visualise themselves within your organisation. Environmental portraits and team imagery communicate culture without relying solely on written statements.
For growing firms, this can make a measurable difference in attracting talent.
Consistency Signals Professionalism
When headshots are taken at different times, with different lighting and styles, the result can appear fragmented.
Structured corporate photography — delivered consistently across leadership and departments — ensures that your visual identity remains cohesive.
This is particularly important for:
Law firms
Accountancy practices
Financial advisers
Corporate consultants
Consistency across your website, LinkedIn and marketing materials strengthens brand perception and market position.
Supporting Marketing & Business Development
Professional photography is not only about profiles.
It supports:
Website redesigns
Social media content
Press releases
Speaking engagements
Awards submissions
Recruitment campaigns
A well-planned corporate shoot creates a usable image library that can support marketing activity throughout the year.
Ongoing Photography vs One-Off Sessions
Many established firms now schedule photography throughout the year to accommodate:
New team members
Promotions
Department growth
Updated marketing materials
This structured approach ensures your visual presence remains current and aligned with your evolving brand.
For professional services firms in Leicester, this consistency reinforces long-term credibility.
Corporate Photography as a Strategic Investment
In sectors built on reputation, your visual presentation should reflect the quality of your expertise.
Professional corporate photography is not simply about looking good. It is about reinforcing trust, supporting recruitment and strengthening your market position.
If you are reviewing your firm’s visual presence or planning a website update, structured corporate photography can form a key part of that strategy.
A confident male professional standing in a softly lit library setting, surrounded by shelves of books. Natural window light highlights his face while the background remains gently out of focus, creating depth and warmth. He is dressed in tailored business attire, with a relaxed but assured expression that conveys credibility and approachability. The environment reinforces expertise, intelligence and professionalism, making the image ideal for leadership profiles, consultancy websites or professional services marketing.

Corporate Photography & Video at the Carlsberg Britvic Factory, Beckton
Corporate Photography & Video at the Carlsberg Britvic Factory, Beckton
Recently, I had the opportunity to deliver a corporate photography and video shoot for 1st Choice Safety Training & Consultancy at the Carlsberg Britvic factory in Beckton, London.
The brief was simple but important: create authentic, professional imagery and short-form video content that clearly shows real safety training taking place in a live industrial environment — without staging, over-directing, or disrupting operations.
Capturing Real Training in a Live Factory Environment
Industrial and factory environments come with their own challenges. Lighting is often mixed, spaces are large and busy, and health & safety considerations always come first. For this shoot, the focus was on documenting genuine fire safety training, including live extinguisher demonstrations, group instruction, and staff engagement.
By working discreetly and anticipating moments rather than forcing them, I was able to capture images that feel:
Natural and unposed
Confident and professional
True to how the training is actually delivered
These are the kinds of visuals that build trust — especially in industries where credibility and compliance matter.
Combining Corporate Photography and Short-Form Video
Alongside still photography, I also captured short video clips designed specifically for modern marketing use. These clips are ideal for:
LinkedIn posts
Website banners
Social media reels
Internal communications
Short-form video allows businesses to show personality, professionalism, and expertise quickly — and it works particularly well when paired with strong photography.
Why Authentic Workplace Imagery Matters
For training providers, consultants, and industrial businesses, stock photography often falls short. Real clients want to see:
Real people
Real environments
Real work happening
Professional corporate photography helps organisations:
Stand out online
Build trust with potential clients
Strengthen their brand presence
Create consistent marketing assets across platforms
This shoot with 1st Choice Safety Training & Consultancy is a great example of how honest, well-crafted visuals can elevate a brand without exaggeration.
