Staff Headshots and Team Photography for Bodie Hodges: 13 Years in the Making
“Cant believe we put off headshots for 13 years (lol)”
That line from Donna Hodges’ thank-you email made me smile. Last week, I photographed staff headshots and team photographs for Bodie Hodges, creating a fresh set of images for their website and social media.
Thirteen years is quite a while to have something on the to-do list! It was a pleasure to help the team finally tick it off—and to hear how happy they were with the photographs afterwards.
On-site staff headshots, with an early start
The team had a clear brief: arrive before 8am and have the photography finished shortly after 9am, ready for parents coming on site for their sessions.
The photographs needed to fit around that schedule. Bringing the headshot session to their premises meant we could photograph everyone on site and work within the morning window.
We used their new counselling room for the individual staff portraits, with a navy background to give the photographs a consistent look. Once everyone had been photographed individually, we moved on to smaller team photographs and a full staff photograph.

A navy background and a relaxed team photograph
The navy background proved a good choice—and it was one of the details Donna picked out in her email afterwards.
Alongside the headshots, we photographed everyone together by the wall. The image of the team chatting was another favourite. There’s something lovely about a group photograph that captures people interacting with each other, and this one brought a relaxed feel to the finished collection.
The individual portraits and group photographs give Bodie Hodges a selection of images to use across their website and social channels over the coming weeks and months.

What Donna thought of the photographs
After the shoot, Donna sent this lovely message:
“Just wanted to say huge thanks for yesterday – the photos look great and I am so glad we used the navy background for the headshots and the team photo by the wall with us all chatting is just great.”
She added:
“Exciting to get these onto our website and socials over the coming weeks and months. Cant believe we put off headshots for 13 years (lol)”
Receiving an email like that is a lovely way to finish a job. It was a great shoot, and I’m pleased the team now has photographs they’re excited to share.
